Stop-Mo-Tec Armature Blocks are used to invidually build professional Wire Armatures for Stop-Motion-puppets. All Blocks are machined from high grade Aluminium (except Block G which is machined from Steel). Our universal bodyblocks include 4mm plug in slots to connect the Armature to a stop-motion rig. All included Grubscrews use metric 1,5mm Hexkeys (SW1,5). You can find these tools in the Toolsection.

Our Stop-Motion Rigs are based on high quality ball and socket joints. Steel balls and sockets and silver soldered ball to rod connections guarantee high durabilitiy and strong holding powers.
Stop-Mo-Tec Rigs can be easily customized or exteneded / combined with each other. Stop-Motion Puppets connect to the Rigs via the SMT Standard Connector (4mm diameter). Other Connectors are sold separately.
All rig arms come pre assembled, greased and tested and only need to be attached to your prefered Rig-base.

General Informationen About Handling SMT Rigs |
The SMT SB-3AP is a light Rigarm built upon three 8mm Block joints (Plate thickness 3mm) which are connected with 4mm Rods. With 39cm height it can be used as a walking- or jumping rig for small to mid scaled puppets. It also comes handy for animation flying props. When used with a Rig Mounting Pin & Superclamp the vertical reach can be extended to 68cm. The SMT SB-3AP is completely made from stainless steel.

The SMT K-6AP is a heavy duty Rigarm built upon three 8mm Kombi joints (plate thickness 4mm) which are connected with 4mm Rods. The strong joints can also carry puppets that are a bit heavier than usual. With 6 Balljoints this rig is highly flexible, this comes in handy when using it as a stationary flying-rig or model-mover.
